Tomato strips are large, irregular pieces of tomato with a hand-crushed appearance — a category my Uncle Dino pioneered back in the 1980s, inspired by watching old-school cooks meticulously crushing their plum tomatoes by hand. We’re particularly proud of our trademark Tomato Filets®, because we didn’t just invent the name — we invented the technique. Our Tomato Filets® are packed in their own fresh juice, where most of the tomato’s aromatic flavor lives, giving your signature recipes that same just-picked taste without the labor of hand-crushing whole peeled tomatoes. Decades later, Tomato Filets® are still among our most popular products.
